Why Chimi?

Chimi is a relatively young brand from Stockholm, and they’ve absolutely exploded on the market. Some of our co-founders made their early productions when Chimi launched their first ski products, and they were sponsoring some of our athletes for a long time before the collab happened. That relationship has only grown stronger and Chimi was the obvious choice for this goggles and sunglasses collab. With their roots in fashion, Chimi introduces a new and refreshing perspective all while supporting us and the ski industry.

What’s the Wanted Impact on Ski Culture?

By bringing in a fashion-forward brand like Chimi, we’re hoping to expand the culture. “It’s exciting to see a brand from outside skiing step in, supporting projects, funding riders, and bringing their own alternative touch”. It’s a statement : ski gear can be high performance and still carry a different kind of style.

The Story Behind the Products

They aren’t your standard goggles. They’re engineered for performance and comfort but also built with that Chimi edge. Each pair comes with two Carl Zeiss Vision lenses with anti-fog treatment, magnetic lens attachment for super easy swaps, an adjustable non-slip strap that works with helmets or beanies and a perfect-fit face foam for long days on the mountain. They’re designed to take on powder days, park laps, or après-ski sunsets.

The sunglasses in this collab really bring the “style” in freestyle to another level. Made to ride and chill, they provide a slim fit and good coverage for mountain or city use, rubberized sides and nose so they stay put while riding, dark lenses made for sunny alpine days and a bio-plastic frame crafted in Italy because ski rhymes with sustainability.

1000 | SoftTIE Straps

Ski straps might seem like a small accessory, but for many skiers they’re an essential tool on and off the mountain. We sat down to talk about why these simple pieces of gear are so useful, and what makes them worth rethinking from a sustainability perspective.
