A meeting of two worlds: raw freeski style and top-tier mountain performance. The 1000 | Haglöfs collab brings together the culture and creativity of new-age skiing with the technical expertise of one of the world’s most trusted outdoor brands.
Why a Kit?
Because we needed it. For years, freeskiers have had to choose between looking good and staying dry, between steeze and weather protection. This collab was born from that gap. The modern skier isn’t confined to one arena anymore. They hit the park, the streets, and the backcountry, often on the same day. This kit was designed for them: a hybrid piece of outerwear that looks right in an edit AND performs on a glacier. Every feature, from the double Velcro cuffs to the bib’s high cut, comes from real on-snow experience.
The process started organically, with sketches drawn in pen and paper by Magnus, who’s been riding for Haglöfs for five seasons. He walked into the Haglöfs Stockholm office with his own pants, some reference photos, and a few drawings. The first prototype they made was already spot on. From there, the teams went back and forth with small but meaningful tweaks: adjusting jacket length and width for a boxier silhouette, refining pocket placement, reworking the hood fit over helmets, and experimenting with Velcro placement for better functionality in both urban and mountain environments. The collaboration evolved into a process of iteration, testing, and shared expertise, a skier’s dream meeting a designer’s craft.

Why Haglöfs?
Simple: they’re the best at what they do. Haglöfs has decades of experience making technical gear that holds up in serious conditions. When Haglöfs reached out for a collab, we jumped. Together, we merged their technical precision with our obsession for freeski culture. The result? A fit that finally speaks our language, wide, boxy, and unapologetically expressive. It’s a freeride fashion show out there, and this kit keeps up. This project also redefines what collaboration can mean. It’s a creative exchange, a space where two brands push each other to evolve. Magnus, Peyben and Alric have been working as a team on the 1000 side, spitting out their wildest, craziest ideas, getting those across to the Haglöfs design team, getting feedback. “I talked to the Haglöfs team and they said they've also gotten really inspired by this process and they're rethinking how they're doing the design process in the future. We’re so grateful because together, we built something that neither of us could’ve made alone”.

What Makes It Special
Every inch of this kit has intent. From our hand-drawn sketches that kicked it off, to the prototypes sewn in the Haglöfs Stockholm office.
“The pants are really light too, you can move around so easily, it's super comfortable”. Even the suspenders have a clever fix, the plastic adjusters sit at the chest instead of the back, so they don’t dig into you when wearing a pack. Every design decision came from real frustration and experience.

Is It Sustainable?
The entire kit is made from leftover gray 3-layer proof fabric that Haglöfs already had in their factory. That means no new production, no extra waste, and the same high-end waterproofing and breathability as their top-tier outerwear. Instead of ordering new textiles, the collab gave purpose to unused material that might otherwise have been thrown away. Even the production process was low-impact: limited prototypes, direct collaboration between teams, and long-lasting materials that will stay relevant for seasons to come. The sewn logos extend lifespan, the technical construction ensures durability, and the timeless color palette avoids fast-fashion cycles. It’s sustainability that’s practical and functional enough to outlast trends.

The Wanted Impact on Ski Culture
The performance world has often lacked flavor while the style world has often lacked function. We bridge that gap and prove that technical clothing can have personality, and that fashion on the slopes doesn’t have to come at the cost of safety or performance. This kit celebrates the new generation of skiers, riders who move fluidly between backcountry and street. You see it in the Freeride World Tour now: kids who grew up jibbing are taking their style to the peaks. They want outerwear that matches who they are, technical, expressive, and authentic.
We just released this product and the hype is through the roof. We present to you our dream kit.
